You will work in North Scottsdale with a small mail order company owned by a large company with excellent pay and benefits. The pharmacy provides services to people with financial need only.

We don’t have a drive through. You don’t have to work weekends or holidays. We do not bill insurance. All medications are donated by the manufacturers. All the patients are grateful and thankful for your services. We work 2 shifts from 5am-2pm or 11am-8pm.

 

The Pharmacy Technician under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist performs pharmacy care duties consistent with the scope of practice of a pharmacy technician in relation to the operation of a pharmacy; and performs other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Enters prescription data into the patient’s pharmacy record;
  • Performs other data entry tasks accurately in accordance with TC Script policies;
  • Takes inbound calls from both patients and prescribers offices to obtain necessary information to provide pharmacy care services;
  • Routes calls to appropriate departments based on nature of call;
  • Provides excellent customer service to all patients, medical professionals, and colleagues internal and external to TC Script via phone, video conference, or in person;
  • Ability to preserve patient confidentiality; and
  • Participate in meetings and communication internally and externally as necessary;
  • Fills prescriptions for and provides pharmaceutical care services for unique prescription medications

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Training: High School Diploma or Equivalent;
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of one year of pharmacy technician experience preferred;
  • Licenses/Certifications: Unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Trainee License or Pharmacy Technician License required/National Certification preferred;
  • Specialized Skills: Knowledge of medication names; prescription order elements; process new and refill prescriptions; reporting drug adverse events to supervising pharmacist; establish and maintain good relationships with physician/healthcare practices; assist in streamlining communication with the patient, pharmacist; nurses, lab and other healthcare-related parties; work as part of a team to provide support to other members of the healthcare team; coordinate responses and resolutions with appropriate internal and external parties; and perform all tasks in a safe manner that is consistent with corporate policies as well as state and federal laws.
  • Technical Skills: Completing outbound calls to patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of accuracy and maximizing productivity;
  • Management of pharmacy operations under the supervision of the Pharmacist In Charge
