As the secondary business relationship manager, the Associate Program Manager (APM) holds responsibility for successful client service, program management, program knowledge, and problem resolution for their assigned brand programs and/or responsibilities as assigned within brands.  As a point of contact between our valued customers and Mercalis, the APM serves in a crucial role in driving internal project teams to deliver Mercalis’s full suite of products and services.  The APM consistently utilizes strong interpersonal skills to provide Mercalis’s industry renowned best-in-class customer service.  The APM drives internal project teams to provide our customers with deliverables that are on schedule, on a budget, and within scope.  As an ambassador of Mercalis to our valued clients, the APM provides a consultative approach by being an expert on the program, analytics that support trends, and market knowledge, which allows the client to make informed decisions in successful support of the brand.  The APM position has the ability to grow into the Program Manager andSenior Program Manager positions within several departments

Responsibilities

  • Help maintain contracts/statements of work with Program Manger and/or Director and execute accordingly
  • Help manage and coordinate vendor relationships (Agency, SPs, Hubs, Data/Analytics teams) on behalf of the client
  • Help define the program strategy and roadmap to determine the best solution for client projects in accordance with the SOW and in collaboration with their Director
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to clients, internal Mercalis functional areas, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that business requirements and solutions are understood
  • Interface with clients and maintain business essential relationships on a day-to-day basis as the secondary business relationship manager
  • Participate in regular client meetings and help update the client on program status and provide an avenue for program enhancements
  • Build healthy relationships with all internal functional areas, and take a leadership role with all internal project stakeholders
  • Help manage the program budget for the client and provide recommendations for effectively managing program cost
  • Learn and assist the client in navigating client and internal Mercalis requirements and processes specific to their organization
  • Help develop and deliver in person presentations, program progress reports, and formal Quarterly Business Reviews to clients
  • Identify and report pharmacovigilance information as required by client(s) (i.e., Adverse Events)
  • On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data
  • Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency
  • Conducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • 2-3 years of Program Management experience
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, and other business assistance software platforms
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Effective time management
  • Budget management skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicting situations, strong in deductive reasoning and problem solving, analytical mindset
  • Exceptional communication skills, including verbal and written, ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • PMP preferred but not required
