The Patient Support Clinical Trainer position is a training position responsible for helping our new clinical hires gain the skills and acumen needed to succeed in their new positions. They will also facilitate refresher and skills training classes to ensure current employees excel in their current jobs. Using principles of adult learning, the Clinical Trainer will develop clinical instructional materials and deliver clinical training programs for the Market Access Teams. The position will modify and update clinical instructional materials in response to evaluations from learners and organizational changes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and/or virtual training to clinical team members after creating materials and/or working with certified instructional designers
  • Design clinical training materials for new programs/existing programs/initiatives (e.g., classroom training documents and activities, Desk Drops)
  • Support training team in the development and/or maintenance of existing training materials
  • Update the Confluence/Wiki to ensure it holds the most up-to-date clinical information for programs
  • Facilitate new clinical hire training and skills development classes
  • Coordinate and deliver clinical compliance training updates and clinical skills refresher classes
  • Track new clinical hire and annual compliance training completion as needed
  • Provide follow-up for all new hire classes at 30 days and 60 days post-training to ensure that skills have transferred to the job
  • Document areas of concern for all trainees and review results with Training and Development Manager
  • Pursue on-going professional development in clinical training delivery through attendance of webinars and meetings for clinical and clinical training professionals
  • Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies
  • Develops teaching outlines and determines appropriate instructional methods to use in a variety of settings (e.g., group instruction, workshops, individual training, etc.)
  • Selects or develops appropriate clinical training resources such as training handbooks, demonstrations and practices, multimedia visual aids, and computer tutorials
  • On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data
  • Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency
  • Conducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Nursing or other clinical degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of training clinical roles with experience in developing didactic content and/or material
  • Psychiatry Therapeutic Area expereince, highly desired 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships with others
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Experience working in or with the pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Enthusiastic and high energy
