As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will report to the VP of Marketing and Communications, with responsibility for developing and managing digital content and campaigns that showcase our capabilities and generate quality leads across our five business verticals.

 

The successful candidate must be skilled at working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to provide digital marketing recommendations, distill complex topics into compelling messages for channels including web, email, and social media, and work with each vertical’s Marketing Director to execute tactics that drive results with our target audiences.

 

You should have a keen interest in the healthcare field, be passionate about continuous professional development in digital marketing, and be data-driven – translating insights into action to continually improve digital marketing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to execute marketing strategies and contribute to campaign content development for all service lines (Patient Services, Healthcare Provider Engagement, Payer Intelligence, Clinical Trial Support, and Consulting).
  • Serve as project manager with various third-party vendors, maximizing return on investment and ensuring high performance.
  • Oversee corporate website(s) with web hosting vendor and all associated content requests, being mindful of SEO needs and core organizational KPIs.
  • Own our marketing automation platform, Account Engagement (formerly known as Pardot) for top-of-funnel lead generation, pipeline building, and nurturing campaigns. Responsibility for creating automated email journeys, landing pages, and trackable links, and regularly reporting on performance – using the data to refine and improve campaigns.
  • Manage SEM / display advertising campaigns with third-party agency, measure impact, and present results to key stakeholders on monthly basis.
  • Work with third-party vendor to continue implementing SEO improvements.
  • Drive social media content strategy and execution on LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube via utilization of social listening / scheduling tools.
  • Develop digital-centric content that demonstrates thought leadership.
  • Work closely with Creative Director to generate ideas and direction for content such as social media imagery, website resources, and sales collateral.
  • Partner with members of HR and DEI on content to elevate our organization’s community impact and drive employer brand on social media channels and our websites.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge on the latest trends, tools, and capabilities across the digital marketing landscape.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-4 years of digital marketing experience.
  • Pharmaceutical / Life Science experience preferred.
  • Experience with using a CMS to manage websites (WordPress or other).
  • Experience with managing social media platforms and creating content tailored to each channel.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (previous use of Account Engagement (formerly known as Pardot) would be a plus).
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to create email content and automated journeys to nurture prospects.
  • Experience with using GA4 to report on website performance, and to inform improvements in website content, user journey, and user experience.
  • Proven track record of managing successful LinkedIn advertising campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills (e.g. influencing without authority, leading cross-functional teams, and managing third parties).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • High level of independence, energy, and integrity.
  • Confidence to present results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and maintain a broad knowledge of Mercalis sales, marketing, technology, and operations processes.

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy. 
  • Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
